The various notifications issued for recognition are :
Government of India , Ministry of Human Resource Development [ Department of Education ] in its noti fication  dated 1st March’ 95 states that : “ No. F.18-23/92 TD.V/TS-IV[.] On the recommendation of the Board ofAssessment for Education Qualificat- ions the Govt. of India has decided to recognize the ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level examinations conducted by the Computer Society of India [CSI] under the DOEACC and Advanced Diploma level course, respectively, for the purpose of employment ofposts and services under the Central Govt”
It was then amended by the same department in its notification  dated 19th April’ 96 stating that : “ No.F.18-23/92 TD.V/TS-IV in partial modification of Notification  of even number dated 1st March’ 95 on the recommendations of the Board ofAssessment for Education Qualifications the Govt. ofIndia has resolved to recognize, with effect from July’ 95 the change in the name ofthe Examination-conducted/ awarding-body for ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level course from CSI to the DOEACC society.”
“ No.F.2/6/97-TS.IIIA.On the recommendation of the High level Committee for Recognition of Educational Qualification, the Govt. of India have decided to recognize the ‘B’ level computer examination being conducted by the DOEACC society for the purpose ofemployment under the Central Government where MCA is the desired qualification.”
The Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, has recognized ‘O’level and ‘A’ level examinations conducted by the CSI under the DOEACC scheme as equivalent to Foundation course and Advanced Diploma level course, respectively,for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government w.e.f 1st March’ 95 vide their notification nos.F.18-23/92- TD.V/TS-IV, dated 1st March’ 95 and 10th April’ 96.” In partial modification dated 10th April’ 96 “the Govt. of India have resolved to recognize, w.e.f. July’ 95 , the change in the name ofthe examination-conducting/awarding bodyfor ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level courses from CSI to DOEACC Society. In view of above notifications the passed out candidates with ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level qualifications from the DOEACC Society will henceforth be eligible for registration in employment exchanges for job assistance.

Government recognition to ‘O’ and ‘A’ level Courses
“On the recommendation of the Board of Assessment for Educational Qualification, the Govt. of India has decided to recognize the ‘O’ and ‘A’ level examination conducted by the CSI under the DOEACC Scheme as employment to posts and services under the Central Government.”
DOEACC Society Circular dated 11thAugust’ 97 [ Extracts] “NIELIT‘B’ level qualification has been recognized as equivalent to MCA , by the All India Council for the Technical Education [AICTE]. Announcement to this effect was made by the Chairman, AICTE ,Dr. Rama Gowda, during inauguration of SAARC Programme under DOEACC Scheme on 29th July’ 97.”
According to MOU signed between Singapore Computer Society, National Infocomm Competency Center (NICC) - Ministry of Information, Communications & the Arts and DOEACC Society - Department of Information Technology for mutual recognition of NIELIT‘B’ level with 3 years experience & ‘C’ level with one year in Project Management with CITPM [Certified IT Project Manager ] , as a result NIELIT‘B’ & ‘C’ level Qualifier would be considered equivalent to “ CITPM Associate” qualification of Singapore, thus opening new opportunities for these students worldwide.
